Please read for details about my 1-day Ohio Concealed Handgun License classes for legal CCW (Carry Concealed Weapon)
I am now scheduling open classes (see at bottom for date*). I will also conduct a class for you on the date/times of your choosing.** I will do the classroom portion (6 hours*) in my home or yours and the required range time (2 hours*) at the shooting range, with no range fee, to complete the State required 8 hours of instruction*.  *(As of March 23, 2015)

The cost is just $99 per person (we must have at least 4 to hold a class if you are organizing a group yourself). For my fee I provide everything needed: Required State A.G. booklet, targets, school guns (revolver or autoloader- your choice) with ammunition and eye & hearing protection plus complimentary coffee, tea, bottled water, soda pop and snacks. You can use your own gun (recommended) & ammo, (50 rounds) and/or eye & hearing protection, if you wish. Any gun suitable for carrying concealed is OK.

Because of the change in State law (now in effect) I will no longer be doing 2-day classes.
The entire class can be completed in just 8 hours.
Classes can be held on any day of the week.

If you have organized a group and we do the class in your home it must be close enough to the range to be able to get there and finish shooting with daylight (not a problem during daylight Savings Time hours). If not in your home, class is held in a facility in Marengo (2 exits north of Polaris Parkway just off I-71) and shooting at the range nearby.
We normally do 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a break for lunch but this can be modified to suit your needs with 8 total class hours required. Refreshments (coffee/tea, soft drinks, water, snacks) are provided when holding the class in my facility.
**Get 3 friends and we'll have a class when you want it!

A (non-refundable) deposit of $50 per person is required to reserve a date. More people can be added after a date is reserved but a deposit for each must be received 2 days prior to the class date.

I specialize in new handgun shooters, men/women that are unfamiliar with any firearms, and persons with disabilities. Classroom and range time is done in an informal but safe manner.
If you do not yet have a carry gun I highly recommend that you take the class first as you will then be an informed buyer. As a licensed Firearms Dealer and Gunsmith I can offer knowledgeable advice about the best gun for you, especially after I observe your shooting skills at the range.

Remember, in all things, you get what you pay for. You can buy cheap clothes but they will wear out faster than quality ones. You can get your driveway paved by a "knock on your door" paving company but you will wish you had paid a little more for a reputable company when the asphalt crumbles in a year. You can find cheaper Concealed Carry classes but, do you want to gamble your safety (gun handling and operation), your personal finances (lawyers aren't inexpensive) and your freedom (you can spend time in jail if you don't understand the law and do or say the wrong thing at that critical time)? You may be very gun familiar but do you know the ever-changing Ohio law that addresses when you can shoot and when you can't? Don't foolishly take a cut-rate course just to get your license because you already know how to use a gun. Learn what you really need to know when you carry a deadly weapon for self-defense. It's NOT like the movies or TV....

PS: I offer Gift Certificates. They make a great gift for someone that you care about and want to be protected.
A typical class at the range.
Putting up the silhouette targets showing "the bad guy" who is threatening you.
Firing is done at close range only. Sometimes 1-handed; sometimes with 2-hands. No scoring rings.
Shooting is done at the "center mass", firing to "stop the threat", not to kill.
My next class is December 19th
